Sales Assistant

 

FSN Southwest is looking for a National Sales Assistant for our office in Irving, Texas.  This position is responsible for coordinating the national accounts that air on the network, from sales support through execution to delivery. Duties include acting as the main liaison with the national offices ensuring orders are received and booked properly, interfacing directly with the Traffic department to ensure execution and delivery of contractual obligations, working with finance regarding national client payments and credit and responsible for booking all paid and direct response orders and working with Worldlink.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Interfaces directly with the Traffic department in order to ensure that spots run at the correct time, in the correct show, with the correct copy within the contractual boundaries set by the client.
  • Works with the national sales offices to help ensure that clients are satisfied and the sales goals are met. Presents viable solutions to client issues, as required. Ensures that delivery requirements are met for every client so that payment can be received. Ensures that all information received from the sales offices is accurate and complete, including programming information, traffic deadlines, production schedules, marketing plans, and copy formats.
  • Works with Worldlink on all paid programming and direct response orders.  Is responsible for entry, upkeep and execution of all orders.
  • Work with the finance department on all national accounts payable and credits.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in television production and sales; working knowledge of television sales and ratings preferred
  • Effective organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; Knowledge of Encoda Traffic Systems, Donovan Data Systems, Sonic Media Editor and DVD Creator preferred
  • The ability to work independently, and as part of a team is required.
  • The ability to multitask and deal effectively with changing priorities and deadlines is essential.

The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends is necessary
